Mine gets mostly pellets, with a few pieces of broccoli and diced carrot. Sometimes I will also give her some of what I am having for dinner, depending on what it is.

I’d go with about 40%- 45% pellet, 5% Protein & grains, 40% veggies, and 10% fruit.
i am a true believer in home made diets. but! i also provide pelleted food which you should get them liking emmediately. they like it very much and when in a hurry you can throw a large bowl of it down and run off. it is safe and convenient and healthy. their diet is: fruit, veggies, nuts, grains, and yes meat. pasta, rice, green and orange veggies, fruit. do not give fruit seed. seed should come from flowers.
no onions, avocodo, coffee, tea, or chocolate. these are toxic. the reason you need to always have a bowl of dry food is because they will eat only what they like and leave what is good for them. i always make a little plate of rice, fruit, veggies, meat. then i treat them with nuts and seeds which they devour. a little ice cream is ok but only vanilla. if they constantly miss a food group, leave it out and make them a little hungry for it. malnutrition is a means of death for them in the wild. remember that with good nutrition, a parrot can live 40 years.
non toxic wood is pine but not cedar. people say that berries are not good for them also. but i gave mine blueberries and raspberries.
