Well for the past 35 years I have been testing the social patterns of these two birds in the same cage in a house setting. The conclusion which I just got last week. Is yes, they do get along, buy many.

Ten fantastically successful tried-and-tested tips for training your pet parrot! How i trained my bitey little monster african grey into a playful sweetie. A frantic mom's hilarious, but tough-talking truth about how she tamed her mother's bird.

african grets are cute and intelligent im sure if you introduce them over time ll will be fine
It really depends. My mother has a Blue Quaker and Cockatiel In the same cage. The first time we put them in the same cage together The Quaker started attacking the cockatiel. Now they get along. But we do have a Amazon and a Cockatoo that We will not put together. they are very territorial and will try to kill each other (we had them sitting on separate laps and they went for each other) I would suggest if the are a bigger bird DO NOT put them together.
Unless they have been together from being babies, then I would say No.in a cage next to each other they would be ok,
Both birds have their own traits and at certain times (breeding season),can be quite aggressive with other birds not of their species.
Opposite sex birds sometimes will get along with other species.
Both have an awful habit of Toe pecking and removal, like all Parrots they go for their assailants toes. and can remove them quite quickly because of their strong beaks.
So to be on the safe and happy side I would suggest that you do not put them together.
DO NOT PUT THEM TOGETHER WITHIN THE SAME CAGE!!! If you have them in separate cages next to each other, that’s ok.
