No, cheese isn’t healthy for African Greys, or any parrot. That doesn’t mean that you can’t give it to her, but you should do so infrequently.

You always hear that milk products are not good for birds. In general, they are not. However many African greys love cheddar cheese. I’ve been feeding mine cheddar cheese for 20 years and I have friends who’ve been doing it longer.
They also sell cheese puffs for birds at every bird show I’ve ever been to.
I’m told it’s ok because of something to do with the aging process of cheddars. They still advise to stay away from white cheeses like Swiss.
Another thing is when I’ve had a parrot with problems processing food in their crops, the avian vet has instructed me to add just a touch of active culture yogurt to their diet.
I hope this helps.
Dairy products are not good for any birds. I am sure if you gave it to her like as a special treat once a week it would be okay. But not all the time. Remember they are not mammals, and they do not drink mothers milk.
My Grey also adores cheese. Cheese is actually fairy nutritiousand digestable to birds, but it is high-calorie. As other have said, it’s fine in moderation.
no cheese is not part of the diet , the high salt content is not good for birds. for treats use foods that are high in protein low in salt or seasonings , fresh fruits and veggies are great , but no acidic ones , boiled chicken cooked pasta orgainc peanut butter and whole wheat breads
