cockatiels last yearssss… we got mine when he was already over 6 (he only had two toenails left.. he was old lol)) and he lasted 7 years after that til he died. So yeah.. maybe you shouldn’t have a bird if you can only keep it alive for a year and a half lolly
cockatiels live up to 20 years…. something went horribly wrong…
yeah, I think they might need a bit of experience, just by the fact that it died so early without ‘tok’ing
@lolly1114 maybe a goldfish is more suited to your level of care.. or seamonkeys.
African Greys typically live 50 years or so, and they talk a lot. But they are MUCH more expensive than a cockatiel.
I’m pretty sure it’s not the cockatiels fault that it died at 18 months, must’ve been something you did (no offense). When I was younger we had a cockatiel and it was alive for atleast 5 years. And you have to teach it talk, it doesnt just talk automatically…
